The Kelsey Suite is located on the first floor, making it ideal for people who have difficulty climbing stairs. The suite includes a queen-sized bed, private en-suite bath with tub/shower combination, and bay window overlooking the picturesque courtyard. The room includes a writing desk and a rocking chair for a quiet read or simply to rock! The Kelsey Suite can be reserved as a single room for a couple or single guest. If there are 3-5 guests, the Kelsey Family Suite offers adjoining sleeping quarters that can be rented in addition to the main room. The comfortable and inviting rooms are connected by a short interior hallway which houses the suite's closet. The Kelsey Suite (without the adjoining sleeping space) is available for $125 - $190 USD.

The Kelsey Family Suite extends the Kelsey Suite, providing an adjoining sleeping space. When you book the Kelsey Family Suite, you get the main Kelsey Suite plus additional sleeping quarters.
Kelsey Family Suite includes a set of twin beds, bathroom shared with the main room, a bay window overlooking the courtyard and additional windows with views of the city's lovely park.
The Kelsey Family Suite can only be rented with the main bedroom of the Kelsey Suite, as it shares the bathroom. The Family Suite is available for an additional $45 - $90 USD.

Located on the second floor, the Gleason Suite features a queen-sized bed, private en-suite bath with tub/shower combination, and windows overlooking both the gardens, terrace and the city's lovely park.

This large guest room decorated in soothing blue and white features an exquisite vintage tile fireplace that once must have been the main source of heat in the space. Resplendent with shelves containing books from a bygone era, the main attraction is certainly the king-sized bed with its incredibly comfortable bedding.
Located on the second floor, the Wallace Guest Room features a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, and windows overlooking the city's park and neighboring historic buildings.

Bates Bobcat Family Suite with Bobcat Den

Formerly the McDonough Family Suite with Annex, the newly remodeled suite has been renamed the Bates Bobcat Family Suite with Bobcat Den! We have just unveiled the family suite in May 2023. Like the Kelsey Family Suite, the Bates Bobcat Family Suite is ideally suited for a family visiting Bates College with a prospective student or a family of 3 visiting the area. Many guests come to the inn to either explore colleges or attend Bates family weekends and graduations. We are excited for all that lies ahead for our hopefuls and graduates! This suite has every bit of college swag you would expect from an immersive Bates-centric experience.
Guests don't have to be college-bound to enjoy the amenities, though. Plenty of guests aren't here to visit colleges, but that doesn't mean they can't enjoy the experience and all the comforts with it. We welcome all to enjoy our newest renovation!
The main bedroom of the Bates Bobcat Family Suite offers a queen-sized bed, a decoupaged antique vanity that also serves as a writing table, closets, shelves, a flatscreen TV with cable and Roku. The windows overlook neighboring historic buildings. This suite features a lovely deep claw foot soaking tub complete with shower accessories. Imagine sinking neck-deep in a relaxing bubble bath before snuggling into bed for the night.
The two bedrooms and accompanying bathroom are located at the West end of the second floor of the Inn and are completely private.
This room is available for $165-295 USD and includes the Bobcat Den described below.

The new suite offers a surprise at every turn. Even the hallway from the main bedroom to the Bobcat Den is Bates by design! The pictures forming the "B" are all from the college and include the campus grounds through changing seasons, student activities, academics, sports, dance, and more! There is a large, framed campus map on the opposite wall. Look down at the newly laid floor and you will find bobcat tracks! Follow the pawprints to the Bobcat Den...
Bobcat Den
The Bobcat Den is a living room that includes a twin daybed, a flatscreen TV, and a game console. Donned in Bates' signature garnet and white, the Den has that "dorm feel" with all the amenities and none of the homework! The color-changing string lights come with a remote. The TV includes a Roku for your streaming services. Its window overlooks the Inn's courtyard. The room rate includes the main bedroom and the Bobcat Den.
Booking Policies
CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT HOURS
Check in is 3:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. Let us know if you will be arriving later and we will arrange for a smooth check-in.
Check out is 11:00 a.m. or earlier. A late checkout fee of forty dollars ($40.00) may be charged unless prior arrangements are made, and extra work is not required of the housekeeping staff.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We are a small, friendly inn, and cancellations hit us hard. Our cancellation policy requires five (5) days’ notice prior to the date of arrival, during which the full rate will be charged unless the room is re-booked for the first night of the reservation. On high demand weekends, unless the room is re-booked for the entire reservation, cancellation during the 5-day window will result in the full rate being charged for the number of nights reserved. All cancellations are subject to a twenty-five-dollar ($25.00) fee per room reserved to help defray our costs.
