Summer has finally arrived in Lewiston-Auburn, Maine! And with the warm weather comes the first big festival of the season--Great Falls Brewfest. In addition to the 45 brewers represented (two are from Lewiston, 28 total from Maine, and others from Vermont, Michigan, North Carolina, Colorado and California), the festival features food trucks and vendors, lots of live music, contests and tournaments, all designed to create a full day of fun! On the same day canoes and kayaks take to the Androscoggin River between Lewiston and
Auburn for a morning paddle combining a touch of history (seeing the mechanics of how the river was used when we were a manufacturing community) and views of the area from a different vantage point. Boats & Brews is sponsored by the Androscoggin Land Trust. What an incredible way to start a fun day! FMI: https://androscogginlandtrust.org/event/androscoggin-land-trust-boats-n-brews-river-race/. Bring your own canoe(s) or kayak(s) as it appears there are no rentals available at the site.
The Inn (a/k/a bed and breakfast elsewhere!) still has a couple of rooms available for that weekend so if this wonderful event tempts you at all, reserve with us...you'll be walking distance to the festival, the river and all of our best restaurants. See you soon!
